Farm and Field Workers Relief (FFWR) Program
United Way of Nevada County has been selected by the USDA to deliver a one-time payment of $600 to Farm, Field and Livestock workers who incurred expenses preparing for, preventing exposure to, and responding to COVID-19.
Eligible Workers:
Front-line workers, other than an agricultural service worker, who were paid for at least one hour of agricultural work on a farm or ranch, or in a meat processing facility during COVID (March 2020-May 2023). This includes:
Field workers engaged in planting, tending, harvesting crops, and post-harvest activities including operation of farm machinery or crop-farms.
Livestock workers tending livestock, milking cows, or caring for poultry including operation of farm machinery on livestock poultry operations.
Meatpacking workers engaged in animal slaughtering and meat or poultry processing including meat or poultry packaging.
Verification needed:
- A Federal or State-Issued ID
- A State-Issued Driver’s License
- Government’s Consulate Issued ID Card
- Passport or Passport Card
- Permanent Resident Card
- International Identification Document
- School ID Card
- Work Authorization Card
- Military ID
- H2A/H2B Visa
