Day of Action

United Way of Nevada County is beginning preparations for our upcoming Day of Action on Saturday, June 27th

Day of Action is an opportunity to mobilize volunteers for meaningful, hands-on projects that strengthen our community.

We are currently looking for project ideas from local nonprofit partners that:

Can be completed in a single day (or half-day)
Provide tangible impact for your organization or clients
Can accommodate a team of volunteers
Have a clear scope and measurable outcome

Projects might include facility improvements, landscaping, painting, organizing, assembling materials, minor repairs, or other creative service ideas that help advance your mission.

We will bring the volunteers; you provide the materials. We’d love to collaborate and make this year’s Day of Action one that truly moves the needle for our local nonprofits.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Day of Action 2025. During this annual day of community action, volunteers help local nonprofits with projects needed to help them do their important work in our community.

This year we helped the Food Bank of Nevada County, FREED Center of Independent Living, Hospitality House and Sundance Horse Rescue and Sanctuary.

The more we are United, the more we can achieve—and Day of Action 2025 was a shining example of that truth!
