UWNC's Youth Can Do
Everyone wins when youth serve...
YouthCanDo is a volunteer run program that is a collaboration between school principals, teachers, youth leaders, United Way volunteers and students. It is a program where teenage groups are given the opportunity to participate in serving the community. Last year projects were done around the community in local parks, the fair grounds and at the homeless shelter. The students are involved with planning, organizing, and implementing the projects. Lee Blakemoore, the leader of YouthCanDo, is also available to speak with student clubs about "How to make a difference in our Community"
