Our Work
The United Way of Nevada County is your premier charitable giving organization. Donations you make to United Way of Nevada County stay in Nevada County to help the people who live here. Local donations meet local needs at 20 agencies throughout the western Nevada County and Truckee communities. Children, familes, seniors and people with disabilities and chronic illness get access to food, services, support, respite and hope thanks to your charitable giving.
United Way of Nevada County's Major Roles are:
Resource Investment:
UWNC provides a leadership role in dealing with the issues of greatest concern to Nevsfs County residents. The goal is to bring together agencies that provide services under umbrella issues so that contributions made to UWNC's Community Impact Fund can be focused in a more collaborative fashion. These areas are:
Community Catalyst:
UWNC serves as a catalyst for cooperative problem solving, focusing financial and leadership resources where they are needed the most, and creating a lasting and changing impact on our community. Some of the various community collaboration efforts include:
