What does your money buy?
- $15 - $25 buys books, games or equipment for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County, Child Advocates or Sierra Forever Families.
- $30 - $50 buys fuel for the Gold Country Community Services home delivered meal program.
- $75 - $100 buys quality materials for ESL Instruction or building materials for Habitat for Humanity.
- $200 buys professional counseling for addicted youth and adults through Community Recovery Resources.
- Gifts over $250 have a major impact on our local agencies. You may "Designate" your gift to a Partner Agency or give to the shared Community Impact Fund.
What can your donation achieve? In 2010:
- 516 individuals with disabilities received independent living services through FREED Center for Independent Living.
- Gold Country Telecare gave 54,856 rides to seniors and people with disabilities throughout western Nevada County.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County matched 249 at-risk children and youth in one-to-one relationships with caring and responsible mentors.
- Every month, Community Recovery Resources served over 1000 Nevada County men, women, and adolescents with recovery and wellness services.
- Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Coalition responded to 1058 crisis calls.
- Gold Country Community Services served 7,500 meals to seniors at the High Noon Café on Old Tunnel Road.
- HelpLine Senior Information & Assistance answered 4,026 calls rendering assistance for health and social service referrals to Nevada County residents.
- Tahoe SAFE Alliance assisted 805 clients of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse and community members with 14,732 services.
