About Our Partners

United Way of Nevada County partners with organizations that share our view that the way to improve lives is by mobilizing the caring power of communities. Their commitment is essential to addressing key social issues, such as helping children and youth achieve through education, promoting financial stability and independence, and improving people's health.

Non-profit agencies start out as affiliate agencies by applying for membership and meeting criteria that sets a high standard for both agency management and fiscal management and ensures that the agency is effectively delivering services that meet communitee needs. After nine months, affiliate agencies may join member agencies in the application process for membership renewal as well as funds allocation using that same set of exacting criteria.

United Way of Nevada County is dedicated to the support of its partner agencies. The most significant means of support is through the annual funds allocation process. But, we also provide leadership in addressing needs of the community and collaboration amongst the non-profits.
